Performs same as Sony Mini DVD in my Camcorder at a fraction of the price
I own a Panasonic DVD CamCorder that makes movies on a Mini DVD-R (1.4 GB). I have been using Sony Mini DVDs for a couple of years now (since the CamCorder was new). They worked fine but cost around $3.50 each at Best Buy in a jeweled case. These TDK disks cost $8.99 for 20 at Amazon. That's 45 cents per disk! I did not see any bad reviews on these so decided I'd gamble and try them. I'm now in the middle of taking my first movie with a TDK disk and have been nothing but pleased. So far, I don't see ANY difference between these and the expensive Sony disks I've been using. When I inserted the blank disk into the Camcorder, it was initialized just as expected. I've taken abour 8 minutes of the 30 minute movie. Today I watched that 8 minutes on my TV and was very pleased. I highly recommend these disks as an alternative to expensive name brand (Sony) mini disks for anyone who uses a CamCorder to record movies directly to Mini DVD-R media.

Excellent Service, Product and Price: DVD Mini Discs
For sometime now I have been looking for mini DVD recordable disks (which is what my Sony video camera uses). I like the format better than solid state/built-in hard drives as so many video cameras have today. However I had great difficulty locating them-Best Buy doesn't even carry them anymore. So I knew I could count on Amazon. My order arrived precisely when advertised and in excellent condition. You can purchase practically anything on Amazon. I await with anticipation my next order delivered I suspect by drone!

Sony Camcorder
Have used about 20 of these in a Sony camcorder and all but one worked well. The one I had a slight problem with worked but came up with some errors on playback when finilazed. Of course when you put a TDK disk in a Sony camcorder, the Sony camcorder says, Sony disk recomended for a few seconds.

Family companion...
For the past several years that I have been using my videocam with TDK mini DVD as my storage partner, it never failed me. Sure enough that Sony videocam encourages to use Sony hardwares yet, it is just too pricey for frequent usage. And by far, TDK has been a reliable family companion since I started purchasing it from Amazon. Good deal for the price.

Not bad
I bought these for the cost and for the reason of sending video letters to my boys. I found they hold up well and they aren't to bad unlike others that charge a arm and a leg to get only three. I like these cause of the cost and the amount you get. Thats why I wou8ld buy more when I need to.

Do not use these Imation (TDK) disks for important events in Sony camcoder
On about the 8th disk in the spindle the disks stopped working in my Sony camcoder - they give "recovering data" message about 1 or 2 minutes into the recording and never work again. I tried a Sony disk and it worked fine. Then I figured I might have gotten a bad disk and openned the second spindle I bought (I bough 2 about 2 weeks apart as the disks seemed to work fine) and tried a couple of disks from there - same bad result. I put the Sony disk back in and it still works. So the camcoder is fine. These are just defective disks (and you do not know about that right away!). Also note that it is just the name "TDK" - the disk are actually made by Imation (says so in small print on the packaging) - I did not have a good experience with Imation disks on my PC in the past either - they are somewhat low quality. So here TDK makes money because their name is used and Imation makes money because even if you would not buy Imation Corp. disks - you might buy them labeled as "TDK". Both companies make money (by a deceiving branding method) and you pay for one thing and get another.
