We recently had two bedrooms recarpeted and there was a lot of leftover carpet. I inquired with the company, Flooring Authority, about having some runners made. They said it’s $4.00/ft. This seemed very expensive so I found this product. I’ve made several runners now and they have turned out very nice. Much cheaper alternative!

I had extra carpet left over from install and wanted to turn it into a rug for my living room. I came across this and thought there was no way it was that simple. I was wrong. My new rug looks great and the binding is holding up really well. I could have done it myself, but I had help. Made the process go by quicker. Would definitely recommend!

Here's a tip: I used this product with a block of wood aprx 7" long x 3 " wide (like a small section of a 2x4) Using the block as my guide, after using the glue gun, I 'pressed' the binding into place working in 10-12" sections. It makes your edge straight & allows the glue to dry in the correct place. Product is easy to use with your own glue gun. The tape on the reverse side of the binding is used for placement only..its NOT meant to hold the binding on your carpet. You MUST use the glue gun! I chose this product after replacing the carpet in the tip out of our RV. Used it ONLY one the carpet section that moves. I opted to use a standard 'transition' moulding for the edge that's stationary. Getting LOTS of compliments from other RV owners! Love the finished result. I'll repost if it doesn't with stand a normal Pa winter!!

Like many other reviewers stated, the adhesive that comes on the binding is not strong enough to be permanent. It held it long enough to keep it in place until I could peel it back and use a glue gun. That might be a blessing in disguise because mistakes can be corrected. I applied the binding with the whole carpet flipped upside down. I was using this on a very thick shaggy carpet and it was easier to see what I was doing with the plush side down. After I flipped it right side up, I again went around the whole rug and pushed the carpet strands back from the cording and put a line of glue in the space then pushed the binding up against the carpet. It turned out beautifully. Looks professional. I would hesitate to use on a very low pile or thin rug. I’m sure the fluffiness hid any errors on my part!

I am really happy with the way this turned out, considering I have never used this carpet binding before. It is fairly straight forward and it took me about half a day to finish but I like the final result. We re-carpeted upstairs and we had a lot of carpet left over, so I cut a rug out and applied the binding. I used a gorilla glue gun and glue sticks. This is a low traffic area so it should hold up okay. I plan to buy more binding to make more area rugs with the rest of the carpet.

The product makes carpet binding so simple a DYI can tackle it without trouble. Requires a good glue gun and I used Gorilla Glue Sticks which provide a little more time before setting. I had to watch some YouTube videos from the manufacturer before starting because the written instructions could be better.

We installed new flooring but wanted to use some of our carpet remnants to protect our new floors. This product was super easy to use. Once I got the hang of it, it went pretty fast too. My husband was very impressed with the results. It makes the rugs look professional.

The edging of the binding is plastic with no area to hide the frayed edge of the carpet. A glue gun is needed to keep the binding in place, and is seen from the top. The sticky side that lays under the carpet is not sticky enough and continues to detach from the carpet.

This product works well for the jobs it’s intended for I did my whole caravan carpets and it looks well

This is so easy , with the stair rods , just measure up 4 inches from edge of carpet , the edging really finishes the job off

Instructions next to useless went to u tube to get decent instructions. Very expensive could get a small rug for the £80 price. Binding is far to small only 7mm by 5mm whereas my rug binding is15mm by 10mm generally very disappointed. Would not recommend.
