Truly an amazing product! Fantastic color, easy to program. The Nextion Editor is quite complete. Much of the interaction and all of the graphics for your GUI goes right into the EPROM on the display itself. I do not recommend you use the standard library, which puts all of the Nextion commands into your Arduino library. Why? Takes a lot of space, and you really don't need all that extra code. Just send the commands you need with Serial.print instead! And program the interactions right on the display via the Nextion Editor!Touch is not as sensitive as a capacitance touch screen, so a pen (no ink) or something smooth and pointed but not too sharp might work better than your big fat fingers. In my case, I have push buttons that change when you press them (that code and those graphics are in the display EPROM), and in some cases change state when other events occur. Such as dimming out when they can't be pressed, or indicating that they are "busy" by being red, for example...The beauty is that very little code is necessary for the Arduino itself to run a pretty fabulous GUI!
