Easy installation
I installed this product on my own. It wasn’t hard to at all, fit like a glove. It is the same quality & functional as the original. YouTube was my best friend that day. And it was worth the money.

Excellent product, challenging disassembly of washer unit (but that is LG's fault)
My washer unit is an LG WT7150 (2023 model). Once I was able to disassemble the washer electronics panel and remove/lift the top cover assembly with lid, it was an easy install of the electronics part (lid lock) and worked great afterwards. Unfortunately, I had to dig around the internet and look at multiple (outdated) YouTube videos, (erroneous) LG service manuals, as well as reddit.com other repair related threads. My biggest issue was that LG's service manual was of poor quality and instructions did not match the unit. The biggest trick was taking off the back panel of the electronics assembly, it needed a forceful pull (after removing all possible screws). Once that piece came off, it was relatively easy to to disassemble the rest, remove old lid lock install the new one and put it all back together. A few photos attached. Between researching the problem on the internet (reddit.com was especially useful), figuring out the washer design differences (vs LG instructions) and finally installing the lid lock, I think I spent probably 5-6 hours on this replacement project. Still, I gained some experience and probably saved several hundred $s (vs service call). I also would also note this: the lid lock unit purchased on Amazon was also way cheaper than the exact same part on LG's official parts site (~$30 vs $130 at LG).

Saved me $200+ LG WT7150CW
This part is $100+ from LG and works the same. My husband left and wouldn’t you know the same day the lock mechanism broke. I do all the “girl” stuff and push handyman work off on my husband, but really - I can do it. Watch a YouTube video or two and get to work. You can do it. You don’t have to take the top panel off either and you can’t with the newer machines. No putty knife will get through all the screws that are attaching it, believe me. It’s a little awkward, but you can do it. Take off the back panel, in plug the old lock, pull it through, unscrew the old mechanism and attach the new. Took this girly girl about an hour - which includes video watching time. Easy, inexpensive and fast. Don’t call LG - they’re worthless and just want yo send a tech to charge you $139 for diagnostics and $200 to fix. I included my model number for reference.
