Good general purpose book for classroom library. This is a great set of books in cartoon form. Easy to understand. Good condition. Arrived quickly.

Great mini review for any Environmental lesson

This was amazing. Super educational and really just fun to read. I took AP Environmental Science in high school two years ago and being one of those people who can't ever focus, it was amazing to help me understand a few fuzzy topics. I'm in college now and I still read it every now and then for fun. The illustrations are of good quality and the writing is even better. A great book overall. Highly recommended for anyone in AP Environmental Science, or Enviro majors that would appreciate it.

The Cartoon Guide to the Environment is an educational book that illustrates scientific facts about the environment in a way that is engaging and interesting. It's also humorous and insightful. I definitely recommend it if you learn visually and enjoy comics.

Interesting book

On some pages there is a band horizontally where the page is missing

This book is jammed with critical ecological concepts. Written in "expertise", all these facts and relationships would be a thick slog indeed. However, the authors do a good job of keeping it light. I cannot remember the source, but some bright person once said, "If you are going to tell the hard truth, you'd better deliver it in a funny way."

All of the books by Larry Gonick are excellent. I bought them for my 11 yo and he is loving them!

This book is a very unique book that you will ever come across for environment books for children. Not only the cartoon treatment makes the kids laugh and learn with fun - but the overall outline of the books is also very different. This is a single book that connects concepts of evolution, populations dynamics, earth's environment and animal lifecylces and so on. And all of it is so connected well serially to get a whole new perspective of environment. A lot of material in this would never be covered by most school syllabus. Great learning.

Simply brilliant! It's fun and entertaining yet incisive. It's a great way for anyone to understand the dynamics of how the environment works, the different chemical cycles, the micro environment etc. I just ordered two more to gift friends!
