Great for value, easy to set up, works well with other LG products
I am happy with this purchase. I bought it on sale from Amazon. The setup was easy, my smart TV is an LG and my Blu Ray played is also LG so it integrated seamlessly with those products. It sounds great and it replaced a LG HTS system that was over 10 years old and failing.Tweaking settings through the app is easy although you can control it on screen if you have an LG smart TV on screen. The AI setting for audio detects and decodes whatever output is needed for most programs taking the manual guesswork out of having to manually do it.

It wotks
Th LG S80QR is a fantastic deal at 57% off retail. Why? It just works. While advertised as a 5.1.3 Dolby Atmos system, it is in essence a 5.1 Surround Sound system, and works very well at that. True Dolby Atmos requires up to 24 dedicated speakers, including down-firing speakers from the ceiling. These sound bars attempt to replicate that with up-firing speakers that are designed to bounce the sound off the ceiling, but rarely works well; including the S80QR.The sub woofer works well if placed properly, as is the case with any sub woofer. I live on the top floor of an apartment building, and at the end of the building. In deference to not disturbing my neighbors I had two choices; subwoofer up towards the ceiling or towards the outside wall. Subwoofer on its back up towards the ceiling from the top of a 4 foot bookcase works very well with the volume dialed down to -15dB.The rear speakers work fine and are easily adjusted.

Excellent Sound Quality
Excellent. It's like, proper surround sound, with speakers in the back, so movies and games feel more real. You can actually hear what people are saying. Sound quality's solid. Hooking it up is a breeze. Plus, you can use Google or Alexa with your voice. Gamers will enjoy passthrough tech.If you've got an LG TV, they just work together. You can control the soundbar with your LG TV remote, and they even share sound modes, so everything sounds perfect. Super easy.Bass is decent, but compatible content matters. All in all, awesome product. A great upgrade.

This Soundbar is AMAZING! SOUND QUALITY IS BONKERS!!
OMG! I don’t even know where to start with this Sound System! It is Absolutely AMAZING! It has the most BEAUTIFUL Sound Quality! I managed to score this Baby during Prime Big Deal Days so it was an absolute STEAL for Value - But now that I have it - It’s definitely worth full asking price! I haven’t lost connectivity once as compared to my previous LG surround system that would lose it constantly to the rear speakers! The size of the Front soundbar is significantly larger than my previous soundbar but that’s because it has a LOT MORE Speakers in it compared to others! With the Dolby Atmos, DTX, Rear Speakers etc, and everything it has the Functionality that I really wanted! And the volume can get exceptionally loud! The only thing that I MISS from my previous LG surround system that this one is lacking is with the rear wireless speakers! My Old system allowed you to push vocals through to them, not just the “music” and this system does not appear to have that capability (at least not that I have found, even when it’s on clear voice).. and that is a feature that I REALLY LOVED on my previous system & now have REALLY MISSED with this one! Given the spacing of my room, I have to have the volume up louder than I really want just to be able to hear the vocals in shows or movies but then the music tends to be too loud as well 🤷🏻♀️ But overall it’s nitpicking BECAUSE I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this system & it was bought for a brand new QLED TV! They work beautifully together! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND This Surround Sound System! It is really an AMAZING System!

Good system for fixing any low blood pressure issues you may be having
This is supposed to be a mid range very good quality system. It sucks. The quality of the items is good as in, well manufactured. The problems are with the remote, the software and the soundbar controls. First, the remote. There are no visual indicators that the remote does anything. No icons in the screen overlay, no lights on the soundbar or anywhere else. Changing modes is interesting because there's no indication what you've selected or indeed, that pressing any button does anything at all. The buttons on the soundbar are the same there's no display, nothing lights up, nothing. There's a tiny sound, barely audible, that a button has been pushed. You have to really listen for it. Connecting the system to the app is likewise frustrating. And because there is no indicator showing if the buttons you're cycling through by pressing on the soundbar are doing, you can't tell if it's in pairing mode, Bluetooth, or wifi, or anything. When the app finally read the device as being in wifi mode, it wouldn't connect, saying the device and my phone were on different wifi networks and that I should fix that problem. They weren't. They both showed connection to the exact same wifi network. That's an hour and a half of frustrating pushing of buttons. I finally got that to work by rebooting everything, including my phone, at the same time. The app sucks. It's extremely basic, with no preset sound options. There's a supposed AI sound setup that, after I ran it, seems to have disabled sound from the rear speakers. It did not come with a digital audio cable. It only had one hdmi cable. Either a second HDMI cable or a digital audio cable is required to complete the sound setup, so I hope you have a box of extra cables laying around. I'm not going to say a word about the overseas chat help desk other than it was about as fun dealing with them as the rest of this setup has been.
