Q: Can you calibrate the thermometer readings?

I don't think so. My sole purpose for this station was to monitor the humidity in different locations where leaks during rain had occurred. They have been fairly accurate. I keep the first transmitter outside, out of sunlight.

Hello, If the weather console is plugged into the power adapter, the backlight will always stay on, and you can adjust the brightness for 4 levels.
