This wonderful wooden chess set is made from the best pieces of beech tree and is perfectly finished by hand.The board doubles up as a box containing the pieces. Approx. height of King is 87mm. The playing board measures 510mmx510mmx27 mm when is opened. Senator chess set is uniquely made up to our requirements and includes all quality components. Dark squares are carefully prepared to a beautiful colour. Playing pieces are made from beech wood which are carved and finished by hand. The dividing lines, numbers and letters references are near black. Lighter squares are left as pale natural wood and are lacquered with perfect finish. The pieces and chessboard have a matt lacquered finish. A heavy, solid and robust board will provide years or decades of use.
