Design and Build Quality The Archer AX23 boasts a sleek and modern design with a compact black finish that fits well into any home decor. It has four adjustable external antennas that not only add to its aesthetic appeal but also enhance the signal coverage and stability. The build quality is robust, ensuring durability and reliability over time. The dual-band capability allows for better device management, with 2.4 GHz providing long-range, stable connections for standard internet activities, and 5 GHz offering high-speed connections for more demanding tasks. The inclusion of beamforming and OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) technologies ensures that each device gets a dedicated signal, reducing interference and improving overall network performance. Features One of the standout features of the Archer AX23 is its next-gen platform powered by a dual-core CPU. This enhances the router’s ability to handle multiple data streams and maintain high performance even under heavy load. The router also supports OneMesh, which makes it easy to create a seamless whole-home Wi-Fi network when paired with compatible TP-Link devices, eliminating dead zones and providing uninterrupted coverage throughout your home. The router’s interface is user-friendly, with a straightforward setup process that can be completed in minutes. The TP-Link Tether app allows for easy management of network settings from your smartphone, including parental controls, guest network setup, and device prioritization. Security Security is a critical consideration, and the Archer AX23 does not disappoint. It supports WPA3, the latest Wi-Fi security protocol, providing enhanced protection against network intrusions and ensuring that your data is kept safe. Additionally, the router comes with advanced security features such as a built-in firewall, DoS protection, and device access control.

A Great Router
I was confused between three of the most popular routers - ax53, ax23, ax10. Then I finalized ax23 due to its overall balanced specification. ax10 is little old now, through it had some better spec but it does not support Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4 ghz. In the other hand ax53 has some features which is overkill for me, and I read in many forums that this router heat up quickly. So after a long research I select TP link ax 23 router. I am using this for almost 14 days.. Things I noticed - 1. This router is not only gigabit, it's very fast and range is very good. ( atleast for me) build quality is good. They provided a cat 5e cable in the box, but I am using my own cat 6 cable. 2. I am using 140 Mbps plan, I am getting 140+ Mbps everytime on Ethernet on my PC. On Wifi I am getting 80 to 90 Mbps (2.4 Ghz) and 130 Mbps (5 ghz). The latency is negligible. But sometimes it auto disconnect for few seconds, dont know why! (once in a day) 3. The router does not run cool everytime, It is warm, so I won't call it overheating. If the weather school and the place where it placed is well ventilated, then there will be no issue. But I would appreciate if there was a router temperature checker on the TP link app. So it would be helpful for every customer. 4. Previously I was using TP link Archer c20, which runs for almost 6 years. That's why I have a trust on TP link, Now I hope it will run longer than my previous router. I will update any major issue if noticed in future. You can go for it... 🔥

Good router with features but WIFI range is not good.
Good router. Pros : 1. vpn client and server both are there unlike many which do not have both. You can connect from remote location around the globe using these features. 2. 2.5 Gbps port which will be more useful if you plan to use the 1 Gbps and above bandwidth. If you use 1 Gbps wan port with gigabit bandwidth from internet provider, your actual utilization will be around 900 Mbps because of port limitation. 3. Router response is good which means it uses high speed processor. I am yet to connect more devices to it. I have more than 30 plus devices including some servers. Will see in future how it handles the traffic and bandwidth when cctv cameras are also added. Cons: Range of wifi is not good as it claims. 6 antennas do not help. In a 3 bhk house it fails to send signal to all the rooms even under 2.4 Ghz forget about 5Ghz. You need old routers if you have or buy extenders. But extenders do not high bandwidth. Do not throw or sell your old routers(brand does not matter). Use them as access point booster for other rooms and floors by using wired lan connectivity to keep the high bandwidth of wifi maintatined. Its range with default channel setup is not that great. I will have to fine tune it. Will update in future if it performs better after fine tuning channel width in 5Ghz and 2.4 Ghz. Other features: like firewalletc i have not explored yet but what i read is that they are on paid subscription basis. USB 3.0 i will see how it performs with my 20TB WD Gold and maintains all the devices performance.

Excellent router if configured right!
I am using Archer Ax72pro v1 from past 3 days with my airtel provided zyxel wifi 6 router with 20meter Cat 6 cable on a 200 mbps fiber connection. This router has been performing excellent till now. Earlier i bought a archer ax53 which had pathetic range and was a configuration nightmare. So i sold ax53 and bought ax72pro and i was not disappointed. If you have small to medium size multi story house (ground floor, 1st and 2nd floor) ax72pro router is perfect for that. Ax 53 had poor range and frequent disconnections which ruined my 4300 rupees. Ax72pro has solid range and excellent set of features to make it worth the money. My Configuration- First of all put ax72pro in access point mode to mitigate any extra complications and use a cat 6 ethernet cable (lan to lan connection) to connect to ISP router. 1. Give a static ip address to the ax72pro (192.168.1.100, if your isp router is 192.168.1.x) in tp link management page as well as through isp router management page to ensure its ip doesn't change. Use google dns values. 2. Disable dhcp on archer ax72pro through tp link management page. 3. Update the firmware of both the routers. 4. Change security of ax72pro to WPA 3 or wpa3/2 and select the same settings on isp router. Do this on both bands. 5. On the 2.4 ghz band, use channel 11 with width 40 and on 5ghz band use channel 44 with width 20/40/80. Avoid width 160 as it is a dfs frequency. 6. Enable mu-mimo. 7. Preferably turn off isp Router's wifi if you don't use it and keep both at a distance regardless of whether isp wifi is on or off. 8. Place ax72pro in centre of the house at a height(not on the ground and away from appliances like microwaves. 9. If you still face instability, try disabling features like Smart connect, twt and ofdma and check if it solves the issue. You can also use private dns feature on android phones (prefer google dns or cloudflare dns) if you face disconnection issues. 10. Use tp link tether app to manage your network. Hope this helps!

Highly recommended for reliable, multi-device use.
This is a fantastic router that works seamlessly with ACT Fibernet's 75 Mbps plan, providing strong Wi-Fi connectivity across multiple devices, including two TVs, a tablet, and four smartphones. Placed on the second floor, it delivers excellent signal strength on the 2nd floor and acceptable signal in the first floor as well.

Works as expected.
Previously used Tenda F3 finally decided to upgrade after 5 yrs , 2.4ghz works well , 5ghz too. Range is better than my F3. Router has a bit of heft to it. Speeds are good and get my full bandwidth speeds as per my plan. Get's warm to the touch NOT HOT All these above points i mentioned require some configuration out of the box to improve stability And my AX23 is a newer batch for those who are wondering for Older firmware for flashing but this one I recieved is Oct 2025 batch - very recent. For others who really want a proper decent router upgrade can go for it. As of Jan 14/26: After firmware update sometimes (rarely the 5ghz doesn't seem to connect) otherwise no other bad experiences

Great range and performance.
Setup is very easy. The app is also quite easy to use. WIFI 6 on this one has great performance. And the coverage is also very good. I get almost full bars on 5GHz band throughout my house (1090sq feet with the router placed in the centre)both range and performance are way better than my earlier Netgear Nighthawk AC1750. A word of caution though. Tplink has a very confusing array of routers that look alike and have similar names.I ended up purchasing this one ax5400/ax72 thinking that i am purchasing ax5400/ax73. Despite this mistake i think its a great router and its also marginally cheaper than the ax73.
