Like much of Saarinen's work, his side table was designed as a solution rather than to simply be aesthetically pleasing. It is part of his Pedestal collection, which was created to solve what Saarinen called the "slum of legs" under most dining tables. The Saarinen tulip side table features an MDF top in your choice of finish. It is met by a cast aluminum powder coated base.
