These 3 woven baskets are made from Krajood (Lepironia grass). Lepironia is a genus of the sedge family, comprising only one species, Lepironia articulata and is known as the grey sedge. Krajood grass is the main weaving material to be used in basketry in Southern part of Thailand. It is an old form of handicrafts that has been passed down through generations.
