You take a deep breath in then slowly release your breath out with the pipe end on your lips making a seal (as if playing a flute). You should hear the metal ball rattling and feel the vibration in your throat - this should loosen the phelgm in your throat/lungs and help to clear it. Takes a few go's to get it right, but I find it works for me. Hope this helps.

Q: How long do I use it every day? Does it come with 2 balls?

Use twice a day, morning and evening, for about 5-10 minutes,My husband has chronic copd and finds it really helps

Q: How do you need to clean it?

Thorough cleaning is recommended every other day, using soft soapy water or detergent. Do not use chlorine water, bleach, or other chlorinated products.
