This was a great deal. The combo pack with the current clamp, 2 probes, etc. was very reasonable. There is quite a difference in costs between sellers. I used the scope both for automotive and on my electronic bench. I happen to have a dual channel Tectronix bench o-scope and it is a large heavy piece of equipment. I love this Hantek lightweight 8 channel scope.So far it has functioned flawlessly.The thing I like is the software gives you examples of the correct waveforms. There are preset waveform examples for automotive devices you will need to test in a real world scenario. That makes it very easy to troubleshoot without years of experience gained to know what the correct waveform is supposed to.look like.I happen to be a certified industrial electronics technician qualified for board level repair. As a result, I had extensive experience with bench ocilloscopes and testing all manner of electronic circuits and devices. For someone new to this equipment, there will be a learning curve getting used to setting the various settings. It has a built in manual under the help option to assist understanding these settings and there are myriad sources on the internet to assist you.So that makes having the correct waveform to look at side by side that much more valuable to someone that is not that fluent with an o-scope. You can buy other scopes at much higher costs, but this 8 ch scope is purpose built for auto work. You will need to use a laptop with windows to operate it. One thing I did immediately was get a quality longer usb cable as the one that came with it was short. Also for ease of testing, you will need some extra items to be able to use it effectively. One is a backprobe kit which there are ones here cheap.The other is a couple of the fuse buddies that allow you to pull a fuse out and insert the fuse buddy which has a wire loop so you can attach your current clamp easily to a circuit without having to chase it down in the wiring harness. For example, looking at an in-tank fuel pump power circuit. It will make life much easier. Overall, I am happy.with this scope and haven't had any problems with it so far. If something negative develops, I will post another review.
