Q: I noticed that the product shows a child, but honestly, I am an adult who wants it! Is it a suitable size without getting rained on?

Yep. It works just great for an adult. It does get you a lot of attention though. I bought it for a Relay for Life lap and had a blast.enjoy. oh! Order early though, the first time I ordered, I received a duck rain slicker. Had to return it and reorder the umbrella.

Q: Would I be able to paint on this material and have it stick okay for like one use without folding it?

I would say yes, the material is nylon it may require a special type of paint. Good luck!

Q: How does this hold up on a windy day?

This is not a heavy duty umbrella, will tolerate light wind but not made for heavy or sustained winds.
