Easy to use
Was using a cheaper crimping plier made of some cast metal of some sort, after about 100 crimps it started slipping and not making effective crimps. I ordered and received the C7 hog ring plier and made 100's of crimps on stainless steel hog rings (3/8" and 3/4") and not had 1 bad crimp. Very effective tool that is easy to use.

Really a top notch plier!
Thereâs nothing I donât like about these so Iâll move on to the important bits. The spring is handy and not too powerful so youâre not fighting the plier. I read some reviews of folks that plucked it off and cast it from themâŠNOT NECESSARY! Itâs light and easily withdrawn once you clamp the staple. (âStaple the staple?â). Having the plier held tight with a staple in it til youâre ready is a gem of an idea. I always need a third hand when fencing and thatâs what the spring is!Down to brass tacks. You can easily wear out a set of cheap pliers in half a day of fencing so you want to get yourself a decent pair. THIS IS A DECENT PAIR! I went through about 3,000 staples in the first day and there is no visible wear in the jaw or the powder coat. If I was going to change anything I might widen the jaw just slightly to make mounting the individual staples just a bit fasterâŠbut it works great! If you havenât hit the buy button by now you probably donât even know what they are for! Well, buy one anyways! Youâre going to find a use for it! After building fences I used it to put together rabbit cages on the corners where I couldnât fit a wide clip staple. Two jobsâŠone tool. If you have a chicken coop or need to repair the mesh once in a whileâŠBUY THE PLIERS (but donât forget your staples! Youâll need 10,000 or so once you get the hang of it!
