Horrible cover design. (The outer cover is narrower than the book - the edge of the cover is missing.) It's feels horrible to hold, horrible to turn pages, and it looks terrible. Publishers need to stop making these, or Amazon needs to make it clearer than you're purchasing this defective cover.

Wonderful book that has stayed with me long after reading. This book would be perfect for students to read on Literature courses as it deals with the ethics of AI. Highly recommend.

Great book about AI, augmented humans and god. Best book I've red for years. Even too short :-)

What an amazing book—easily one of the best I’ve ever read. It was recommended to me by a friend and was one of the first Ishiguro novels I picked up. Klara and the Sun works on multiple levels: on the surface, it’s an interesting story, but underneath, I think it’s a powerful commentary on society, artificial intelligence, and our evolving relationship with technology. The novel explores themes like—loneliness, connection, love, mortality, identity, and what it means to be human. Klara, is a naive and observant Artificial Friend (AF), and is designed to be a child’s companion, which explains her innocent and often literal interpretation of the world, including moments of cruelty or emotional complexity that she struggles to fully grasp. The book also raises questions about the use of genetic engineering and how society divides itself between those who are “enhanced” and those who are not—and how different characters respond to that divide. I enjoyed this story on many levels—quietly moving, deeply thoughtful, and hauntingly relevant.
