Rick Steves Germany (Travel Guide) Paperback – December 20, 2022

Got this guidebook for a last minute trip to Germany planned with 45 days notice. This book accompanied by the Rick Steves website/Germany forums and you are set. Most of the people on the forum will tell you some of Rick's ideas of "must do" and "Don't bother" are based off of his preferences and they will tell you more information. I also found that this book was in most of our hotel lobbys! I loved that I could look through the book and have a map of the area along with a map of the country and make plans quickly and be able to refer back to them once I was in the country. I used sticky notes for each city we planned to visit and left them poking out the edge so I could easily flip to that city and then highlighted in the book where we were interested in going along with a sticky note of suggestions from the forum. Highly recommend! Apparently, Germany does as well because it was in 3 out of 4 of our hotels!

Rick Steves never disappoints. His guides are invaluable.

I used the guide to plan our family trip to Germany and referred to it frequently during our trip. We planned to hit the top recommended sites and were able to find a few hidden gems.

Last year we bought Rick’s Spain guide and this year just returned from Germany using this German book. His attention to detail is amazing . We’re heading to France next Spring and I already purchased his “France” guide. We design our month-long European stays ourselves and they are made easy by his suggestions of how many nights in each town, rental cars, etc.

This book is a great planning guide for a trip to Germany!

It's informative and makes a great gift for those touring Germany.

As true of other Steves' guides I've purchased, they are as good as the Michelin guides (which I also buy). They are invaluable trip resources and just fun to browse. Good buy, no regrets!
