I got these to see if they would work for an organization project I had. I have a long (tall?) over-the-door organizer with metal shelves, but with a bit of unused space at the bottom of the organizer, which I wanted to use. So I got the IKEA wall mounted plastic trash can thing (VARIERA something), to try and hook it up to the bottom of the over-the-door organizer with these clip-hooks. The VARIERA comes with adhesive strips, but I preferred metal hooks over the adhesive strips and even Command Strips. As it turned out, I could not use these stainless steel clip-hooks the way they were intended, because the part they would clip onto was a horizontal bar, and these clip-hooks just didn't have the space for that at the clip end. So ............ I used them upside down and used the clip part on the VARIERA ---and it worked!!! Granted, using the clip-hooks allows the VARIERA to move a little bit compared to the adhesive strip or Command Strip method, but the little bit that it moves is zero problem at all, and I like that I can still lift the VARIERA out if I need to for any reason. I was hoping these would work out so I wouldn't have to go the Command Strip route, and I'm so glad these worked out (nice when that happens)!!!To clip them on the VARIERA required a bit of stretching, since they cannot clip flat to their default position and have to accommodate the thickness of the VARIERA handle, but they've held up so far without any problems. They almost seem like they want to "push" themselves off of the VARIERA handle, but luckily, the weight of the items (a folding snow shovel) in the VARIERA will hold the VARIERA handle in place. I'm glad I got these and I recommend them!

I bought these hooks to use on the louvered closet doors. As you can see in the picture they do not fit, even though they were in the search for louvered door hooks. They are extremely sturdy and impossible to bend to fit. Forcing them on the door will inevitably damage the wood louver, since the hook tension is so strong and unbendable.These would be great hooks for any other purpose.My advice = measure first

Broke in one week

Great idea but metal is extremely brittle. Only fits over the smallest wires. Trying to side onto a standard wire shelf they break into 2 pieces. Disappointed

Work great, but snap easy if too much tension exists when installing over a thicker edge

I really like these hooks, I've been able to make them work for my situation but only because I could turn them backwards. The side that is supposed to hang over the wall racks is too tight/small and won't fit over so I just turned them backwards. I tried to bend the hooks out but they just snap/break.Still a good items just need to have a rack.
