We recently purchased the Vizio Sound Bar, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This sleek and stylish sound bar has significantly enhanced my home theater experience. Updated: The issues were mostly my sub placement and tv configuration. If you have a Sony, adjust sound output to auto 1 and set hdmi ports to “enhanced”. Recommend.Original: For this price, the sound bar and sub woofer combo is great. I got this mainly for the Earc capabilities and it works with my new Sony TV wonderfully. Just plug the Earc HDMI connection into your TV and you’re good to go with no programming necessary. Your tv remote will automatically control the Soundbar.Out the box, the sound bar sounds OK, but I do notice some bass echoing in some applications. I had an older Vizio sound bar with a subwoofer and never had this issue. I’m going to try to adjust the settings to see if I can get rid of it and will update its review if I can. The dialogue is crystal clear but the bass a find a bit distorted.Also, I’m not sure sure whether it relates to a tv setting or the actual Soundbar, but sometimes when I turn on the tv the Soundbar initiates but no sound is emitted. Still, at this price point for Earc access, can’t be beat.

Great sounding bar. Easy setup. Great look. Only gave 4 stars because every once in a while it will occasionally lose connectivity with the subwoofer that is literally 18 inches away. It will be a pain to reconnect the subwoofer. The pairing process will fail and you will have to do a factory reset to get it to work.

I have hooked tv's to stereos to make watching movies and sorts aevents louder, but it wasnt always "better" sound. The TV speakers are fine for daily shows and news etc but for Football games and movies its a must! I also have trouble hearing dialogue durng certain parts of movies and constantly adjusting the volume up to hear dialogue and then down again when the action hits. This solves all those probelms and produces quality surroud effects that fil l the room with the likes of Dolby Atmos on most streaming services. It has 5 speakers in the bar and a sub woofer. The dialogue has its own setting! Just what I needed crisp clear voice and booming sound effects living together in harmony. Now its only 25 watts which from an 1984 college stereo is close to 0, it is plenty to fill a living room for slumber party movie night at home! Easy to set up as even my 10 year old Samsung Tv has one ARC HDMI connector which is the only way I recommend setting this up. Even comes with the cable! Super easy and is self aware of connections and makes them for you. I love it for $150.

I have bought a couple of sound bards over the years and did not like any of them. I bought this one for a few reasons, first off since it was going on a Visio TV wanted to get tone that would use one remote. I realize that the HDMI output should control it but just wanted to go one step further. I read many reviews and watched several videos before getting the M series over the D Series. I think it was work the extra money. I also did not want the 5.1 system as this is going in a bedroom and did not want to wire up rear speakers. The stock speakers on the TV just would not cut it for movies and music. this soundbar sounds very good for its size and weight. I have not mounted it on the wall yet but I expect that the sound will get even better when I do. the interface with the TV has been smooth so far, I am currently using the HDMI connection. I also have the optical hooked up as a comparison. I have not tried the bluetooth connection to a tablet or phone yet. Sound quality is very good for a bedroom and the speakers reflect off the walls enough to give a simulated surround sound. voices are much clearer than the stock TV. this is not going to rock out a party but for normal use it is great. our Main TV has a full separate receiver and dedicated ceiling and wall mounted speakers. as well as a separate power amp and 15' subwoofer... so no this little soundbar is NOT going to compete. but for a bedroom or and smaller room it is great.

Now that we have the sound bar, our sound is consistent. Before we installed the bar the sound from our TV was very localized. Now the sound is much fuller.
