I wanted a 500ma charger for my Pioocan flashlight battery. I was concerned that the higher output chargers might damage the battery. This charger worked perfectly. Got a good charge in a reasonable amount of time.

Bought this item for use with my Fitbit Sense Smart Watch using the stock charging cable that Fitbit includes with the smart watch as the watch didn't come with a USB wall charger only the cable. While on vacation with my cousin over labor day his Apple brand white square wall brick for his Apple watch decided to burn out and stop charging so I let him use this to charge his Apple watch too and it worked well and he loves it so much that he bought one of his own to replace the dead Apple brand USB wall brick and it was over half the cost as Apple wanted $19.00 for their genuine walk brick and this was only $7.99 at the time of purchase and works just fine. So as long as your smart watch charging cable has a USB type A connector on the end of it this is the charger for you at a very good price and seems to be well built too.

Tough to find these 5 Volt 500mA USB wall chargers, but in my opinion, they're the best way to go when it comes to safely charging electronic devices. Slow and low, my friends. Slow and low. It may take a while to get to a full tank, but it won't hurt your precious electronics like some bigger chargers could. Great for applications where your device will be sitting on the charger for long periods of time. A little pricey, but they work perfectly. That's my tow cents. Cheers! -Dusty

It's not easy to find this low of an output for a charger. If that sounds a bit strange, here's what's happening with that. The last replacement battery and new charger I bought for my Galaxy Note 4 ended up burning out the mother board and ruining the phone because the charger had a 2.5 amp output and others with that model phone have noted on the internet that with a fast charger the mother board of this model is vulnerable to burning out. Well, that characteristic of this old relic of a phone is enough to kiss it off and forget it and buy a later model that is able to handle a fast charge - which is most every current mobile phone out there. However, the the old fashioned guy that I am, I went and bought another new Note 4 at a real big bargain price since I knew how to work it and am too old to learn high tech (which I consider any cell phone to be) things very quickly. So, all that being said a .500 ma very low output charger should not have any adverse effects on this new/old antique phone. And, so far it's doing just fine

A great product that is difficult to source. 600 mAh.I have several mini flashlights that require the lower amperage input for charging.I don't want to over heat the battery during charging, to preserve the life of the battery.

Actually, mine delivers about 700 mA.When I'm in no rush for the phone to charge up, I use this 1/2 amp charger. Because, the slower the charge, the longer the lifetime of the battery.To see how much current a charger is delivering to my USB-C device, I use aUSB Tester, Amazon item number B0B99Z2GJK . Search for that.The new Pixel 8 phone charges regular-slowly with a 1/2 amp charger. The 10 inch tablet discharges very slowly with a 1/2 amp charger -- which isn't a bad thing -- the charger supplies some power that relieves the battery of some work; but it requires a 1 amp charger to achieve a slow charge. They're both real happy with a 2.4 amp charger, but the extra heating isn't necessary if I'm not in a rush. The phone especially heats up significantly with a 1 amp charger.Marketing departments are challenged to sell slow-chargers when everyone wants to go faster. I appreciate this vendor making these half-ampers available, although a little more expensive than they should be.In the car, if the Pixel 8 is continually displaying while Googlemaps is navigating, the phone will slowly discharge on the 1/2 amp charger.
