Insanely Grossly Absurdly Overpriced
This remote likely costs them about $3 to make. And they’re charging us nearly $100 for each one? They know there aren’t any other options. So I guess we must just conclude that Somfy is a business lacking in ethics. :)

Easier and faster than I thought it would be
We misplaced our remote on an awning that was about 12 years old. I ordered a Somify remote thinking there is no way this will work. The instructions weren’t very good but with a quick search on YouTube for a visual it was up and running in no time. Directions could be a little clearer that come with remote.

Be careful changing batteries
Be careful with the tiny screw that keeps it together. You’ll need the tiniest of screwdrivers and it can be easily lost.

Programming a Somfy up / down switch
This is not an easy install for a motorized retractable patio awning. Leave it up to the mgrs professionals to program the up down function.
