Q: What’s the difference between the Hurricane and the Terra Fi models?

More than one version of Terra Fi ? I noticed bad reviews, not-comfortable, not adjustable, not good arch support, etc. for Terra Fi 5. Check yourself here on Amazon. I had this Hurricane model years ago and could not wear it out easily. No backpacking, but walked 18 holes of golf on more than one occasion. But has it changed ? I guess I will find out.

Q: are they water resistent?

Yes they are water resistant, I have repeatedly gotten them wet, with no negative impact. I wear them while canoeing and kayaking, where I step in and out of the water while getting in an out the boats.

Q: once broken in are these good for walking/hiking, do the straps cause blisters?

Never had problems with blisters, but I wear socks. My feet dry out and crack without them. I dont like these for hiking as the tread is smooth but great at the beach.
