Can someone tell me why people in California are advised to consume this product more than 3 times a week?   I find that bizarre.

The labeling statement is meant only for California consumers.California has a law called 'Proposition 65', the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. This law was meant to hold the State of California accountable to safe drinking water standards. Like most "good ideas" involving regulation, it was poorly written and quickly corrupted. Now instead of holding government accountable, it is used to target and hold private businesses hostage with outrageous and frivolous lawsuits thus lining the pockets of both the unethical law firms and the State of California itself. There are over 800 chemicals on the Prop 65 list many of which are naturally occurring in food (bread, coffee, organic spinach, etc.). Of these the most common Prop 65 lawsuit claim is that of lead exposure and is 1000 times below the `no observable effect' level established by both the EPA and FDA.  Many organically grown herbs, vegetables, and other raw materials easily pick up trace and low-toxicity levels of naturally occurring lead that are above the levels established by Prop 65. Keep in mind this happens even if organically grown. Prop 65 gives no differentiation between dangerous levels of heavy metals and the naturally occurring heavy metals naturally present in food (which are still 1000 times below the `no observable effect' established by the EPA and FDA). By suggesting a limited weekly intake for California consumers, Mt. Capra is attempting to discourage the likelihood that another unethical law firm will target our small family farm with outrageous claims.

I purchase it for my 95 year old neighbor who has used this product for years...so I am not sure...but, whatever she is doing must work as she is amazingly fit with  a sharp mind.

I find so many protein powders have stevia, which I do not want. Can someone let us know if this is stevia-free?  Thank you!

No stevia is indicated in the product.  Ingredient's are listed as Goat Milk Protein, Fermented Goat Milk Protein, Natural Vanilla Flavor, probiotic cultures.

Question 4

What's the difference between this and Double Bonded Goat Milk? And also, what did you think of the taste of Caprotein?

I've only tried the Caprotein and it's delicious but expensive.  I'd say the 'Double Bonded Goat Milk is much cheaper with added amino-acids for more proteins per smoothie.  I'd say you cannot go wrong with either product I'd buy both if you're using to make daily smoothies.
