It won't fit on the generator itself, but it will work with the tubing. It's an inline solenoid valve

If the kit uses 6mm (or 1/4") tubing, it should work fine.

Q: How do you remove one of the fittings on the solenoid to connect it directly to a needle valve? Just unscrew it or is glued in?

You cannot. It has an internal valve and you connect with a hose. I took it off. Not reliable.

Q: Can you use it with water to control a slow drip system for chameleons?

doubt it. it might control of a liquid but it is an adjustable valve to make a drip anf this valve is only full on or full off.
