Perfect replacement, easy to install, and works great. Would buy it again.

I hooked up the two wires, installed the batteries pressed the remote button and it worked without having to learn the remote and the receiver. This cost half as much as the local dealer wanted for the same kit. Make sure you order for the correct log set as this unit only works for two different sets of logs, please don't ask how I know!

The price was ok compared to other vendors and it worked perfectly. Every place I tried to buy it locally would not sell to an individual, you had to pay their service dept to send a someone out to install it even tho all they had to do was plug in two wires. I didn't even have to program it, it worked right out of the box.

I have had my Peterson gas logs at 2 fireplaces in my home for 8 years. I have learned if I am going to operate my 2 gas log sets by the remote, I must stay stocked with a couple of these transmitters ahead so that I can replace them at least once and some winter seasons twice for each log set. My point is the transmitters don't last very long. YES, I am installing the transmitter by the instructions, including positioning the transmitter as far away as possible from the flame.

My Peterson gas logs are about 10 years old. The remote was not working consistently. The specs on Amazon said this product was compatible with mine. Problem is that the female end of one of the wires on the new receiver was a different size than the original. I had to hire someone to jerry rig the wire to make it fit. Yes, my logs now work, but I'm not happy at the extra expense.

We barely used this and it stopped working. The unit was setup by a proper company. The unit is plastic and it quickly melted. My installer says this happens often.

That way to expensive for quality but no choise since they are the only one
