Great tool

I have a common Mercedes transmission issue with turbine speed sensor code. It got to the point where cycling the key would not get rid of the limp mode. It was stuck in the 3 gear for good (with no Reverse gear available). This scanner easily communicated with my ECU and got rid of the code. I've been driving for over a month now and the code hasn't come back yet. I check periodically, but so far so good. I will eventually replace the tranny (pervious owner hot rodded it a little too much and I think the clutches are wearing out) but right now it drives just fine. The scanner also diagnosed a missing AC sensor problem and a few other BCM codes that you can't scan with cheap scanners. The only thing it can not do (compared to the real Mercedes STAR scanner) is activating the rain sensor, for example. There are a few things like that, but overall, this thing is great for the money.

Worthless as they don't update this model. A cheap wifi/BT adapter and an app for your phone are much more useful.

After updating has worked fine on every vehicle I have tried. My only complaint is this thing is slow, I'm talking Tech 1A slow.

I work as a heavy diesel mechanic and I do a lot of side work on cars. I bought this for my personal use for side work and cars I buy and sale. This is clearly not as good as some of the $10k machines I use at work, but this little thing does pack a punch. My girlfriend was with me working on a car for one of my side gigs. She has never did any car work in her life. Within 15 minutes she told me she found a code for “ignition coil c”. It’s clearly better then what the part stores provide far as scanners. It’s more specific and has more features then the scanners from the part stores. It comes in a nice case, with very clear and detailed instructions. Do yourself a favor and buy this thing. If you don’t like it, the scanner is broken or you are not capable “I Promise”.

Worked with the precursor a little bit. Its quality convinced me to but Autel MD808 pro.The product is so far so good.I was able to read and delete codes in the ECM (Engine Light), ABS, AC Unit, and so on.No problem reading and erasing codes on Volvo 2003 - 2006, Subaru 2016, Dodge 2013, BMW 2000, ...and so on.The only thing I have not figured out yet is how to save life data. I did hit the "save" button, however, the attempt to locate the saved data wasn't possible. I guess it was nowhere stored. If I could get that to work, the product would be even better.Worth the money.

I bought this to reset an airbag light in a 2011 mini R56. I accidentally turned the light on by powering on the ignition with the airbags disconnected and needed a tool to reset it. This did the trick. It appears to cover many vehicles and offers a lot more information than a generic OBDII tool (more than just "P" codes.) After I did what I needed I updated the firmware to the latest release using the microSD card and MY PC with no issue.

When I first purchased the MD808, I thought it was a great little tool for ODB data and quick service resets on various vehicles.That was four years ago - today I find it mostly useless for resets because there haven’t been any updates since I purchased it. This leaves it unable to reset the service indicators on every single vehicle I own. It is now, for all intents and purposes, a paper weight.
