Q: This sprinkler doesn't have the Melnor name on it anywhere. How do I know it's authentic and not a generic copy?

The one I purchased had a green metal base and what appears to be brass colored metal on the top . No markings that I can see with Melnor on it .

It will work with an expandable hose, but you may see some reduced coverage using an expandable hose.

Q: How do you make it go a full 360?

If you flip up the lever that normally hits the stops so it clears the stops, it will rotate a full 360 degrees in one direction without hitting the stops. If you want it to rotate in the opposite direction, flip the lever back down so it hits a stop to reverse rotation direction, and then flip it up again to clear the stops.

Q: How do I adjust the diameter and distance?

You can adjust the diameter using the range control tabs. You can adjust the distance using the deflector plate. The defuser can also be used to adjust the distance.
