Aiden, the wonder boy's campaign for cursive....
Since they no longer teach cursive in school, our daughter taught our grandson to write his name. He loved writing his name and startes signing his name on his school papers. Of course, his teacher was unhappy that he did not conform to the rules and contacted his mother. I am happy to say, that she informed the teacher that this little boy would print all of his assigned work. However, he would be signing his name in cursive as it was an expression of him as an individual and was in no way disruptive to the classroom or quality of his work.We bought this little book, which we will sign, as well as other family members. We are well aware of how the brain works and that cursive is essential in developing critical thinking skills. He will also be able to read historical documents and family correspondence.I have only one handwritten letter from my late father. It is treasured, because of the intimacy of pen to paper. The paper in this book is substantial enough, to not bleed through. I hope that this child will have it for many years, and be proud of who he is and what a skill he has at his command.
