I wanted a replacement bulb but they are unavailable so I had to buy the whole light fitting. It's a great light though.

Nice looking ceiling light. Comes well packed as two boxes in one wrapper. It looks good with its huge drop and copper bits but that drop has be be cut a lot to use it in an average home. Ceilings are not that high nowadays. An adjustable height sysem would have been more useful. However, cutting to a much shorter length it still looks very good. The copper fittings look very nice and the wonky bulb adds to the look. People certainly notice it! It's not too hard to fit but the replacement bulbs are a bit steep.

This light looks really great - the twisted bulb is stylish and bigger than most, and the simple copper chrome holder sets it off nicely. Installing it was a bit of a faff - unless you have a very high ceiling, you will need to but the cable, and it was tricky getting the remaining bits of cable to fit into the connectors. Once installed, it produces a decent enough light, though not particularly bright and not as low-energy as LED equivalents.

The Plumen E27 Metal Set Plus Drop Cap in Copper is a reasonably attractive set, that if you have some experience with wiring should be easy to fit. If not, it will be a pretty quick job for an electrician.The lead is too long for most applications, unless you have very high ceilings, but is easily cut to the required length. I think this is preferable to looping the cable, but each to his or her own.The bulb is the most attractive bit, the drop cap covers the black part of the bulb, but as it is a standard E27 fitting it will fit in any standard E27 rose. I'm old enough to know E27 as Edison Screw or ES, and at 11W, which should equate to an old style 60W bulb. As this fitting is not designed to be used with a shade, it seems to give off a decent amount of light, without glare.

We already have a Plumen screw fit bulb, which is being used in a lamp and really like the nice warm light it emits. A Screw Fitting 11 Watt CFL bulb that has longevity and purports to having an 80% energy saving. When offered this bundle there was no hesitation in getting it. The bundle is made up of two parts the bulb and then the screw pendant. The latter is made up of a painted metal ceiling rose, lamp holder, drop cap and contains 2m of matching fabric cable. I got help from a colleague at work to replace the existing light fitting with the new set up. Our home is a Victorian terraced house with very high ceilings. So the length of the ‘drop’ was not an issue for us.However, as other reviewers have suggested it may be best to get a qualified electrician to get the job done safely and in the correct fashion.This is a good product that gives fair illumination.

This is supplied in 2 boxes, held together with an outer sleeve; one box contains the bulb and one contains the fitting. The bulb and the light fitting are available separately so it will be worth checking prices.The bulb is a standard Edison screw E27, although a bayonet version is available, and it looks stunning when lit. The light fitting is of a high quality with a long, 2m, braided flex; it complements the lamp perfectly. The problem is that the ceiling rose part at 65mm diameter is much smaller than the standard UK ceiling rose so fitting it could spoil any existing ceiling decoration. Also UK practice is to have a live loop-in at the ceiling which means a larger connector block to accommodate. The Plumen rose is held to the ceiling by a hook and eye arrangement so it is virtually impossible to get it flush to the ceiling and hide holes and cables; the hook isn't supplied.Reluctantly we dispensed with the Plumen ceiling rose and wired into the existing white one. We left the flex long and draped it across the ceiling on hooks, taking the eye away from the ceiling rose. It looks great.
