This actually play.
The workmanship on this pipes is not that of the more expensive pipe. That being said, these pipes play (I was not expecting them to play). The chanter is more or less in tune (YMMV as each chanter will be somewhat different). I really bought these pipes to get the hard case. After playing these pipes a bit, these are going to be my camping bagpipes (not out a lot of something happens to them out camping). One review said there were no instructions on how to put the pipes together. I have never seen a set of bagpipes come with assembly instructions. You either need to know how to assemble a set of pipes, or have a bagpipe instructor that can show you how. I would suggest this bagpipes for someone just learning to play the pipes.

Arrived late. Chanter reed had a split down one side. Did NOT come with the practice chanter. It came with 3 cane drone reeds, and 3 artifical drone reeds. The plastic on the artifical reeds is very brittle, so be careful when adjusting them. The "corks" or plugs did not fit, so I wrapped some tape around them to fix that problem. The finish on the drones was not pleasent to look at, and there were a few places where some glue got on the drone, and the "velvety" cover around the bag ripped off and stuck to the drone. The connections for the drone pieces did not sit flush against each other. And finally, the bag was not able to hold air, there was a leak. I litterally taped every oraface on the bagpipes and air was coming out fast. I was able to strike the bass drone a few times, but was not able to get sound out of anything else because the bag would deflate. I was tempted to hook up my air compressor to conduct a few more tests, but decided to leave it alone. I had them re-boxed and ready to send back after a few hours of madness. Looks like im stuck playing my old practice chanter for a while.
