Q: Is this the original recipe or the new crap flavor?

No- the new flavor SUCKS. WHY WOULD THEY EVER CHANGE THE FLAKY AND CLASSIC FILLING??? No one is going to ever buy these and hopefully they will go back to the original recipe. I read a review that compared it to ten year old peanut butter being stuffed inside gross chocolate and then spread with peanut butter scented perfume- honestly that would be better than this new improved taste. I took one bite and threw it in the trash. Mu kids unknowingly did the same thing on different days as they away from home. It’s a saaaad day. I will say I found the original bar ground up for mix in’s at a Cold Stone Creamery in Florida. I’m on a hunt!!

Q: How are these shipped in summer - is there a chance of melting?

It is always possible for items that can melt to melt in the summer months. Ours are held in a cool area until the moment of shipment. We ship them in the mornings so they don’t spend as much tine in a warm warehouse overnight. They are packed tightly to maintain their temperature as best as possible.
