The Shimano reels are the best value for your money. The syncopate is a notch above the basic fast=cast models. This is a winner for the money. smooth casting. quality parts.

Love my Shimano Reels
The Syncopate 2500 and 4000 are my favorite reels. I ve been using both sizes for years . The only problem Ive had with them is the trigger system. After awhile (every 3 years or so) you either have to replace the reel or if you prefer, buy a new bail spring and replace that part. The trigger system that automatically "flips" the bail stops working correctly due to the spring wearing out. Other than that, amazing reels.
