Very nice tray. I wanted a lighter color but it worked out .

I picked up this tray to organize my “things I need to process pile” that generally lives on our kitchen island. Things like papers, manuals, parts, items I need to fix or install around the house, etc.I picked this one specifically for its size and walnut material. We have a number of all walnut items around the house and I like when things match.Things I like:1) It’s beautiful and has a great natural finish.2) Solid walnut. No veneers.3) Dovetail connection points on the edges to provide strength and beauty. This is a very nice touch.Things that could be improved:1) I’d prefer a thicker bottom. Not that this one is flimsy, but just a personal preference.2) Fit of the bottom panel is so so, with some visible gaping in one corner. As this is only visible from the bottom, it has no impact to look or function.

This appears to be well made and I think it will serve its purpose well. I have a thing about walnut. I buillt my coffee table of walnut and maple and this looks great sitting on it. I am very happy with this and it would make a good gift.

I bought two. Both have defects and the quality does not look like they are worth it not will they last. Also the "daily instructions" that they came with.... WOW. If I have to oil it that often, I can't keep it on my cloth ottoman... and the are definitely NOT solid as advertised. There's an obvious seam on both.
