Q: Do they block snore sounds???

These do not block any sounds, especially not snoring. These will slightly reduce noise and make the snores a bit muffled, but won't block them at all. Most of the reviews for this product are paid/fake and can't be trusted.

Q: does it hurt when sleeping on your side?

As a sidesleeper these type of plugs will put compress the air in the ear and on the eardrum because the silicone creates a solid seal. When your head is resting on a pillow, this presses the plug further in, and the air cannot escape. The pressurized eardrum then is more sensitive to slight head movements against a pillow, which makes those sounds even louder! The sensation is nothing horrible, but it could be interpreted as "loud" or annoying. If you're a light sleeper like me you may not sleep well with the high-pressure ear drum feeling and ruffling pillow noises.

Q: Do these block out fireworks...the big kind?

No. They have a NRR of 26-33dB. Avaerage conversation is 40-60dB, fireworks are obviously much louder than that. They will take the edge off the noise, but they will not entirely block it out. You’ll be hard pressed to find any earplugs that will. You’ll need really good active noise cancelling earphones to do that.

Q: Will I still be able to hear my alarm?

I think so, as long as you don't have it set really low. I bought these sleep ear plugs because my Husband keeps me up with his snoring. These drowned out his snoring and I still heard my alarm.
