Does what it is advertized to do.
I liked this maker of snacks but the wife returned is as the cakes it made were way to small for her. She thought it was more along the line of Korean Street Food. There are other products for that. I enjoyed the cakes. Easy to use!

Quality and Affordability
I read the reviews for this pros and cons. I went to Japan and tried these tayaki fishes. Now of course this one isn't going to be like those commercial machines. Where one can add any kind of filling. I just added a few baking chocolate chips to my batter and this satisfied my sweet tooth LOL. Use baking chips because they melt faster than regular pieces of chocolate. And throw them in a blender or food processor just to quicken the melting process . Add to your batter. As long as anything you add is super tiny it'll work. My experience with this machine. And it was FUN making these!! I even did a special batter for my dogs. Added chicken broth instead of water. Tiny diced pieces of chicken. A nice treat for the whole family. So many recipe variations! I am looking forward to making these with my grandson too!! Give this three in one a try!!

Great cook book
The product does work. It was miniature. It creates pastries that are 2 inches. I only recommend this product for the incredible cook book that came with.

Gluten free taiyaki
I bought this to make gluten free taiyakis with my niece and nephews and I’m still learning. The press is not difficult to is at all I just think it’s user error. The plates even once cooled were very easy to clean and make a fun project for the family

not worth the price
Nothing good to say about this product. 1st way to overpriced 2nd gets way to hot the whole thing gets hot. The outside plastic gets so hot you can burn yourselfeasily can't use this with a kid. 3rd size of donut tray so so so small ridiculous. Not worth $37.99 You need to do research make it so you cant get burned from it. someone is going to sue you . no warning label

I love stuffed Taiyaki (like a stuffed waffle)
I've only used the taiyaki plates because that's why I got this. The shapes are a bit smaller than the taiyaki you can buy at specific places. However, it still is big enough for me to put some filling in them. I just use a waffle mix (King Arthur is a good brand) fill it a bit and spread it out, put a bit of filling (chocolate sauce, jam, cheese, frosting) then top it with more batter. The nonstick works well and I don't have to oil it. Make sure to not use any metal utensils on it or you'll scratch the teflon. I've seen a recipe where someone mixed a raw egg with fried rice and pressed it in a taiyaki pan. I've never tried it, but it could be good. Like a grilled onigiri!

A new baker in the family
Bought this for my 11year old who always wanted an easy bake oven. She can use small cake mixes with it. Supervision is required since it is electrical and the machine does get hot. She was very excited about it. One complaint that I had was that no recipes came with it. I had looked it up online to get a feel for timing of the little cakes. She was very excited about bringing dessert to Christmas dinner.
