Whitfield 52-inch by 63-inch Window Panel, Sage

I ordered these because I wanted navy blue room darkening blackout curtains for our bedroom, but eclipse does not make them with a valance to match. I read reviews all over (not just on Amazon) that they block out light, but they do not block out all of the light. Yes, they do darken the room a lot, but they don't completely block out the sunlight like the eclipse curtains do. Nonetheless, the color is exactly how it is in the picture, however there is a design on it that I couldn't tell from the picture. It's not a bad design and unless your looking at the curtains to see the design while they're hanging, you can't tell. The curtains are also thinner than I thought that they'd be. I decided after putting them up that I would buy the thermal light blocking liners for behind them, but if you're going to do this too, I suggest making sure you have enough space to put a small rod behind them as the curtains seem too thin to be able to attach heavy duty hooks through the material. I'm simply just afraid the weight of the liners and the hooks will shred the curtains. They are nice looking curtains. They're a great color and I'd still recommend them, but I just thought I'd put a more accurate review of them out in the open.

I was having a difficult time finding a very plain, basic navy blue valance for my bathroom and turned to Amazon as I always do!I did not realize that this valance had a little bit of a leaf/vine design on it...it is very hard to see that in the picture and I apparently did not read the entire description.I was a bit dismayed when it arrived since I really just wanted a plain navy blue. I hung it up and realized that the design is so subtle that it does not clash with the rest of the décor and gives a rather plain valance a little bit of jazz so I ended up being very pleased with the end result.The fabric is light and easy to iron but doesn't look cheap. It's a bit longer than your typical valance but since my window is narrow and long, it hangs just perfectly. I have zero complaints about this purchase.

I've been trying to get decent quality curtains from Amazon for a few weeks. Everything I've ordered has been poor quality in one way or another, and I've ordered several different brands. The most common problem is that the lengths of the panels are way off. If you want to hang two 63" panels side by side on one window, the lengths need to match, or at least be within about 1/4" or so of each other. Almost all the panels or 2-panel sets I've ordered have been off by at least 1-2 inches! They look terrible hung side by side. One set had lengths close enough to each other, but they were significantly shorter than the purported 63" and so would not work for me. Lengths this far off from the advertised 63" are defects. The quality control is terrible. These curtains have problems, too.These are very nice looking curtains, and hang nicely. They're fairly thin, but not sheer (I can't see through them), but I'm hanging them in front of blackout curtains, anyway (which is another reason correct length matters) in a bedroom. The material and colors are pretty. The background is a creamy very light beige, with a bit of a very pale gold tint. There are flowers and leaves of various muted colors--purple, red, yellow/gold, green, but very subtle. There is a slightly shiny leaf/vine pattern in the material, as someone else mentioned; this leaf/vine pattern reflects light. It's the same color as the background, but almost embroidered looking--it's like the thread with which it is 'embroidered' has a sheen. That works OK for me--it makes them look a bit elegant, but not everyone will like it. You can see it when you zoom in on the photo.Unfortunately, when I hung the first 2 pair of these Whitfield Floral panels, I noticed one of them had an uneven bottom hem--one side was a little shorter than the other (or the rod pocket could have been a bit uneven, making it hang a bit crooked), but it was the best length match I'd found so far, and the floral pattern & colors made it not quite as noticeable on my window as with some others. Then I hung the next two and they are way too far off to work. One panel is an inch shorter than the other. It looks awful. If you were just going to leave these opened, framing the window, and not close them, the different lengths might not be too noticeable, but I'll be leaving these closed.I know these are all fairly cheap curtains, but I've bought cheap curtains from W-mart and "tar-jay" and BB&B for years and never had this kind of problem with incorrect lengths. I have sent back a half dozen different curtains I've ordered from Amazon recently due to these defects. I really like these curtains a lot, so I'm going to order more and see if I can put together two sets (I have 2 windows) of any two panels that are reasonably close in length and long enough to cover the blackout liners, and return the others.By the way, some folks have said you get a pair of panels (2) in a package, and some have said it's a single panel. I got one panel per package, and I ordered 4, and they were sent in two separate packages from 2 different warehouses.

I wasn't sure how these curtains were going to look in my kitchen when I first ordered them. I read a few of other buyers reviews and figured for the price, if I didn't like them, I could just return them. We just did a full kitchen remodel and there is so much going on with the counter tops, the fixtures, etc., I knew I needed something simple. Originally I put these curtains on a decorative round 3/4" rod, did not like them at all. I put them on a 2" flat panel rod, 2-valances on each window and they are beautiful. The scalloped bottom and subtle leaf vines are just enough for what I was looking for. I hosted Easter dinner at my home yesterday and everyone complemented on how beautiful they were. I definitely recommend 2-valances per window for a standard window.

The valance is OK. For the price you can't beat it. However, when they arrived only 3 of the 7 ordered were in the original manufacturer pkgs. 3 were in small plastic bags and had obviously been opened. One was rolled in a Ziploc bag.On 1 the rod sleeve was noticeably tighter than the others. I tried it on all the rods and it was a struggle to get it on. When it came to the bend at the end on the rod I finally gave up and snipped a few stiches to get it to fit. One had a slash cut in the fabric. Check them carefully when you get them before you put all or part up.I order from Amazon often with great success but if I had bought these at a local store they would have gone back. Given the inconvenience of returning them and rural area where I live, I kept them and worked around the problems.

The curtains are lightweight. I bought one panel and cut it up for two small valances and curtains. There was some slight manufacturing defects in the weave but since the curtains will not be closed, these do no show when pleated. The panel served its purpose. The quality is value mart level. Pattern is nice. Good olive colour.

Lovely valances, subtle neutral color that lets in light, perfect for staging our home for sale. Well made, of good quality and was well worth the reasonable price.

Lovely material and wine colour. Exactly what I expected!

Beautiful!!! They are just the right length and have a little bit of design that you only see in the right light. I put them in my son's room and he liked them as well.
