A must read if you're in education and plan on doing education research!

Read this for thesis and found a framework. I am thrilled by the concepts in this book. I would recommend this to anyone interested in teaching.

Loved this. Inspired me to keep reading on about this situated learning stuff, and just finished "Communities of Practice" by Wenger. This book by Lave and Wenger is really hard to read though, and it makes the book a challenging read. Really hits home with examples, though.

A challenging read to be sure, but worth it if you’re at all interested in the difference between learning and being taught.

I bought this book to support my understanding of communities of practice for my PhD. Great explanation of theories and the real life examples that support those theories.

Wenger demonstrates well the fact of situated learning. This needs usage in venues other than Industrial training.Paul Dobberstein
