A Friend.
What do you call a plushie of a giant sea isopod? One so soft, so detailed, and so well constructed? Only one thing, of course! A friend.I ordered the Large plushie of this friend, and I am so happy with him. When I have Zoom meetings, I keep my friend on my lap out of camera view where he makes a great fidget object to pet - he’s so soft - and to play with - he has so many leggies and chitinous exoskeleton plates and other good details to finger.The only thing I am considering now is whether to get him a pal - that XL Isopod plushie looks like she’d make a good friend too.

Grossed out the adults and fascinated the kids
While I still would have rather been able to order the XL, I'm still pretty happy with this one. Yes, it's life-size: they can grow to this size (sitting on my hand, it extends another half-handspan to the front and then again to the back). The biggest one measured was 50cm long!It feels high quality and a little stiff, with the outer layer being quite soft. But this is not squishy. It's firm. Two kids have already tried to roll it into a ball like a roly-poly, unsuccessfully :)This was a good way to introduce the kids to giant isopods; afterwards could show them some videos of them swimming around, eating the face of a shark (okay, small dogfish), and a closeup of the teeth on a video where a Japanese chef turns one into a dish which normally uses crab or something.

Not a “Large” size
Disappointed. Bought this as a gift for a friend’s daughter and for $47 I was expecting a much larger size when it states “Large.” In all honesty this is labeled as a “Large” size but in reality is a small. I’ve never paid this much for a plush/soft stuffed toy and for the price tag it should be bigger. I would return if this wasn’t being gifted to someone.

Quality worth every penny.
This cuddly crustacean critter was a present for my buddy’s baby boy. Teddy bears are a dime a dozen, but this is most likely the only isopod Baby E will ever receive. He giggled and pulled it closer. Top notch quality craftsmanship from skilled fingers on the other side of the planet. I like to think all those legs will spark a little educational interest in a new generation. Thank you!

A winning birthday gift--for the right person
Okay, so maybe a plush toy isopod isn't everyone's idea of an appropriate birthday gift, but my adult kid, who was a biology major in college and has a fondness for isopods, loved it! Very soft; accurate details.
