SLOW but fresh drinking water
Even though these are SUPER slow, the filter works great at filtering undrinkable city tap water into clean drinking water. And we're talking like 1 drip every 5 - 10 seconds, SLLLOOOOW. But as long as I fill up the top reservoir of our PUR PLUS 30-Cup Water Filter Dispenser every time I walk by it, my family has clean water to drink. I change it out, probably less often than I should, about every other month. Though I do have this on Subscribe through Amazon to make sure when it's time to change, I have an extra ready. I'm comfortable enough with the price to keep in handy. Replacing it is easy, just soak the new one for a bit (fully submerged in cool water) and lock it into place. If the drip all but stops, I take it out and give it a shake and a rinse, and pop it back in. It's well made, fits like it should, and provides clean drinking water (even if it takes a while for it to provide it.) I still give it a 5 star, as it does what it's supposed to; filter ick water into yum water, though it takes a hot minute.

Filters
These are the correct filters for the lead reduction only. The blue top ones won't work

Slow as anything ! But very Efficient and no Fish Smell
Slow isn't always a bad thing. Look at all of the stuff it is getting out of the water, like LEAD. Look at the benefits of lead removed from the drinking water. I found this on Google Search for those of you that may not be aware. Lead exposure can cause high blood pressure and brain, kidney and reproductive health issues in adults. Symptoms of lead poisoning include headaches, stomach cramps, constipation, muscle/joint pain, trouble sleeping, fatigue, irritability, and loss of sex drive. Most adults with lead poisoning don't look or feel sick. This didn't even address what Lead could cause to children. So it is slow. Yes it is. The reviews didn't exaggerate that one bit. Still, I'm pleased to know that it is taking the lead out along with 70 other contaminants. For the pitcher, I started using the one with the filter at the bottom of the filter to get additional contaminants, microbial cysts. I had a nice cold glass of water and it was the best I have ever had. I used to have artesian wells. At that time I was told that I had the best water. So I'm just really thank for that we have something so thorough that will take the lead out. I have had filtered drinking water that was fast going through and it tasted that way in the end. So far to date and I have used Filtered products and PUR is number one. I have used lots of bottled water too, and nothing compares to PUR. I don't care if it is fast or slow, but I do care what I get and that is crystal clear water. Don't use anything but PUR if this is your goal as well, especially in the city. Just fill it up and put it in the refrigerator to filter, You don't have to wait for it and if you don't want to do it that way, get a second pitcher. Don't make things so difficult for yourself, but do something about it. Get a second pitcher.

Takes forever to filter, but water tastes good.
I can only assume that these filters are taking out the things they say, as I have no way to test that, but the water tastes good. 4 stars because it takes FOREVER for water to filter through. The house rule is to replace the amount taken out immediately, so there will be some available for the next person. For the sake of having microplastics reduced, that's acceptable...but the Pūr pitcher is plastic, so...

excellent product
I've been using these filters for years and they're excellent. Their durability is very good, and they're super easy to install. The price-quality ratio is great. The water tastes good after filtering.

These work great!
I use these in my pitcher daily. They filter so well. Take a look at your filter when you replace it. I can't imagine drinking all that I saw. I trust PUR products and have been using several years now. My whole family does. Durability is great. They are easy to use and quick to replace. A great fit in our PUR pitcher. Less waste & cheaper than buying cases of water. Highly recommend.

I live in Dalby, rural Australia. Australia has extremely archaic standards on lead levels, allowing 4.5% lead content in faucet fittings (as opposed to .25% in the USA/Canada). There are many old lead pipes in Australia's plumbing, but the government has avoided expensive replacements claiming the lead levels in the water are "natural". The government has recently begun recommending all households run their faucets for 30 seconds first, before drinking the water... My water tastes metallic. Are lead levels elevated in my water? I don't know, probably not, I don't care. There is inevitably some amount of lead, and it is inevitably going to be reduced by this filter. There's really no safe amount of lead, the less the better. A recent sampling of 212 households in NSW, Australia found that 56% of the 212 households had detectable levels of lead in their water, and 8% exceeded allowable Australian standards for lead. Granted, elevated blood levels of lead have rarely been found to be linked to drinking water. But keep in mind, children consume more water relative to their body mass than adults, and children have developing brains. We needed a water filter anyway, as our water tastes awful. The water now tastes good, the chlorine taste is gone, and almost all of any lead will be gone. There is also a pretty impressive list of other chemicals this filter removes. The water does filter quite slowly, but the filter has been working great for a month. For the very rare people who have highly unsafe tap water but don't know it, lead is a suspected carcinogen, and this filter literally might save you from cancer. If you're going to have a filter anyway, the lead versions are well worth the few extra dollars simply for peace of mind. I was deeply disappointed to learn our local Brita Maxtra filters do very little for water safety or lead, but merely improve the taste. The Pur lead filters actually work out to about the same price, assuming you get free international shipping from Amazon USA. For any other Australians, you can get free international shipping for these Filters from Amazon USA with an Amazon Prime Australia Account for $59 annually. Pur water filters for pitchers do not appear to be available locally.

Shipping on time, packaging intact. Product is great! My home city has lead water mains in certain neighbourhoods because it is a very old Canadian development. They could no longer use the water additive that protects the water from lead leaching in from the pipes. The city can also not currently afford to dig up all its roads to replace the mains and connections. So, the city opted to supply residents with PUR jugs and filters as a solution as they are the only filters certified to remove lead. I moved into a rental where the previous tenant took the jug with them, and the city was giving me a hard time with determining who was responsible for getting a replacement. In the meantime, I ordered replacements myself so that I did not have to drink lead. Sometimes I cannot believe this is real life. Safe to say, they work! Basically my entire hometown ( which has a total ~110,000 population) has been using these since 2021. Super fast and easy to prep and install. Filters reasonably quick. No funky taste. No lead poisoning. Would recommend!
