Like the battery compatibility and 80V power
OVERALL: The Green Works (GW) 80V trimmer and blower both work fine. I like that the blower has 3 speeds (plenty of oompf on high for the driveway/sidewalk, but also low for "dusting" out the garage. Also the trimmer has plenty of torque/power and trimmer line is easy to change/re-wrap. The line that comes with the trimmer sucks and will empty quickly, so get some good aftermarket line (.080 or larger). Batteries could last a little longer and be less expensive (glad the batteries come with these combo packs because they're overpriced when sold separately). The batteries do recharge pretty fast (but not fast enough when only 1/2 the yard is done and you're waiting as the rain clouds are rolling in... so get extra batteries if possible). COMPATIBILITY: Note if you also want the 80V edger (I did) you have to buy the "whole edger" (with shaft not just the edger attachment) separately, as this trimmer shaft and edger shaft are not compatible/exchangeable). So yes also bought the edger (which fortunately also comes with a 2amp battery, and an additional charger... both of which I needed anyways because the 2amp batts drain pretty fast and it's wonderful to be able to charge 2 batts at once). POWER: Definitely glad I went with the 80V products vice 60V or 40V. Also have the 80V GW, and don't think the 40/60V would "cut it" - pun intended, on wet or thick grass). 2amp batts are ok for blower/edger/trimmer (and lighter since you're carrying vice pushing), but for the mower you will need the big boy batteries (recommend dual 4amp or larger); certainly if you have a larger yard, or plan on actually using the self-propelled feature. BATTERIES: I appreciate compatibility of batteries (all 80V items can share same batteries), but going to try a cheaper battery and see how it holds up to the (as noted previously) "crazy expensive" GW batteries. Overall I like the GW products and not having to mix gas/oil, add fuel stabilizer, and change spark plugs or broken pull starters. And these are of course much quieter than gas so your neighbors will appreciate you.... but you can buy a lot of gas for the price of these batteries, will leave that choice to you. DURABILITY: TBD, only used a few times so far. Time will tell!

Amazing product!
I am overly impressed with the strength of the weedeater and the power of this leaf blower. This weedeater is better than any commercial gas weedeater I had previously used. I would buy again and am planning on buying all of the 80v items in this line such as chainsaw and edger. This weedeater cuts through Johnson grass like butter. The only thing I would change is that I would buy a second battery up front.

2 years of use - still happy with this combo!
Purchase in July 2020, writing this review in Sept 2022. I wish I'd found this battery trimmer sooner! Past string trimmers have been disappointing. The corded one felt awkward. The gas-powered one seemed heavy and was noisy, smelly, and trouble-prone. Neither seemed especially easy to re-load string. I don't expect to buy any more gasoline-powered yard tools. I find I like the battery option much better. It charges pretty quickly and is much easier to start. Re-loading string is really straightforward. The trimmer does a great job along the house and fence and along paved areas. This combo purchase also included my first leaf blower, and I'm really enjoying clearing the driveway and patio with it after trimming, quicker and more effective than a broom. I sat down to review today because I recently had to call customer support. As noted, this was purchased a little more than 2 years ago. Recently the battery failed to charge, with the charger showing that it was bad. I contacted support and they were wonderful, getting the information needed and shipping the replacement battery. I think I called on Monday and had the new battery on Wednesday (it might have been Thursday). So I was already happy with the trimmer and blower, and this week learned that there was real support to keep them running. Felt like it was worth sharing!

Blower does have a shocking issue bit works well, weed wacker very strong
Love my entire set. I have the mower and snow blower as well. Having 3 batteries to cycle through is awesome. Blower will shock you if you try holding with 2 hands. Weed wacker is crazy strong. Wear sturdy pants and boots

The best out there
As far as I'm concerned these 80v series tools are the only battery powered tools for yard work for the serious user. As a teenager, I used to weed eat fence lines for 8 hours a day on a farm during the summer, so as a result of that trauma I'm used to getting a LOT of weedeating done REALLY FAST so I can do something else that I don't hate doing. I live in northwest Washington state and we have real hardcore vegetation here. These are the closest thing you can come to simulating a gas tool. A lot of manufacturers say that their equipment is same gas power but there is no comparison between 40 Volt and 80 Volt. If you word a battery powered tool too hard, the voltage drop will shut off the tool and you have to wait for the battery to recover some before it can start again. I haven't had a problem with these 80v tools because they're much more powerful and I use them hard. Initially, I was reluctant to buy these, but my mom wanted something light enough that she could use. We were both happy with them and kept them and have most of the other tools in the line including the chainsaw and the lawn mower and the backpack blower. In fact, the backpack blower is powerful enough to blow out my gutters, which is not possible with anything less powerful. The handheld blower that comes with this set is also pretty good I just prefer the backpack blower. I don't particularly enjoy yard work and this weed eater gets the job done Quick.
