This worked great in our RV awning tube. It is very durable and easy to install. So far the adhesive has worked well. I do recommend cleaning the channel out very well then wiping it down with alcohol.

Insane some LED strip lights that coat half of what these cost, but I bought these anyway, and I'm so glad I did! Once I pulled the old lights out of the awning channel and cleaned up and prepped the surface for the new, these went in with absolutely no problem. The fit is exact, and the prewired end just needed to be plugged in. The excess wire tucks easily into the roller tube and the lights are bright and clear. Very happy with this purchase.

There are dozens of similar items on Amazon, but if you are more interested in camping than in fiddling with LED's, this is the item I recommend. First, this is a one for one replacement for most new camper/RV LED awning lights out there. Please take a look at the connector of your existing unit. If it matches the "D" pin connector, this light strip will drop in and match perfectly- just pull out the old connector and pug in the new ones. Second, take your time cleaning the channel after you remove the old strip. I recommend cleaning it with rubbing alcohol and rags to get all the old " sticky" off. If you thoroughly clean the track and let it dry, the attached 3M adhesive strip is a breeze to replace. Please remember this is contact sensitive adhesive, so make sure you press in the new light strip firmly to ensure a good grip. Finally, light output is very good, although " reading" is a stretch.

Easy to install. But it was too short for my Entegra Vision awning.

Nice at first. Bright and easy to install with good adhesion but then less than a year later, lights are going out, not just a few but many. Very little use since I installed them. Too much work and expensive to get less than a year out of them.

I called carefree to get the right part number and how to install. Both times I sat on hold for about an hour. Their website is useless. I have a new motorhome and the LED's went out in the middle of the second season. I thought Leds were suppose to last around 10 years. I had the direct line to one of the techs and he directed me to a universal led on Amazon instead of the direct replacement. It was half the cost. The leds come with a 20+ inch lead to plug into my wiring. He said the direct replacement would just come with wires and I would need to cut my lead off the old onw and I would solder it on and use heat shrink tubing, not needed on this one, plug and play. Now the hard part, installation. Mine is at the top of the awning inside 3 clear plastic pieces that slide on to a round rubber piece below the awning. If you have 3 people you could possibly put the led inside all three pieces and slide them on the black round piece. I took down the 3 pieces and carried it into the garage to remove the led. I tried to slide a small screwdriver inside the plastic under the led but the plastic broke. I then pulled the lead wire out the bottom of the plastic and just kept pulling until it was all out and my hand was all cut up. took about a half hour. The new plastic pieces come in 7 foot sections so it only requires 2 to replace the 3 I had. I didn't but them yet. I slid the 3 plastic pieces back on the awning at the top and spent 1 hour pushing the led into the plastic from the bottom up, starting ant the back end and working to the front. My fingers are destroyed. I then went into the basement to get my liquid plastic that hardens with UV light and re- attached the broken plastic, everything works. Part# for the plastic is R041653-001. For everyone down south a basement is the lower floor under ground below the complete home. We go there during tornados. My friend lives in Texas and has never heard of a basement

Worked perfectly to replace the LED light string in my truck camper. While Carefree cuts corners on some of their awnings (bolts/pins that rust), this LED replacement string appears to be well made.
