I recently received my Scubapro Hydros. I have not been out to sea with it yet, but I have a big trip next month and I am preparing. The reviews and online videos don't do the BC justice - it is fantastic in person. It has a wide array of "hard points" to customize the bindings you want to add to ensure you can lock down your equipment exactly the way you want it. Protip: You want to drop $20-30 on a good set of metric Allen wrenches and straight tip pliers so you can fashion the attachments you want to add. The various rings and connectors are amazing and fasten on easily. Also, don't worry about the color choices - you can buy any of the various colors as a separate purchase and quickly swap out the colors to make the BC look exactly as you want it, even if the current choice is not in stock. I will update this review in 2 months when I've completed my first week of dives with the BC, but I have every expectation that it will be a great experience.

I've only taken it on 5 dives so far but I absolutely love it. Whether it's this one or another make and model get your own BCD, nothing like owning your own gear knowing how it works and putting stuff exactly where you want it. Things I like: 1) Don't even use the purge button anymore, I just pull on the hose or use one of the dumps 2) Puts you in perfect trim. 3) Love the integrated weights and the tank trim weights. I think I put 3 lbs in each weight pocket and 2lbs in each trim pocket. I've been able to shed 2 lbs of lead using this BCD because it's near neutrally buoyant and I believe I can shed even more. 4) It looks awesome. The dive center I went out with kept on telling me how much they liked it 5) It's modular so if one piece goes bad just replace that one part. 6) Dries almost instantly 7) I definitely consider this a travel BCD, packs really nice Some people complain about faceplanting on the surface but I had zero issues. First time I went into the water with this thing I was nervous that I'd be forced faced down and that I would have to start sucking on the regulator while I waited for everyone to get in. Well I had zero issues and I'm a new diver with less than 50 dives. I just made sure to not fully inflate it and leaned back a bit and I was extremely comfortable until it was time to go down or get picked up. The only thing I don't like is the price but I plan on keep this thing for quite some time UPDATE: I have this BC for a while now and still absolutely love it. BTW I'm 5'7" and when I got I weighed more, probably 192lbs. The medium fit me just fine then and now that I've lost weight it still fits very fine.

It was a great product. It was on the snug size for me. Had to exchange for another size. I had no room to grow into it.

Bought this for my boyfriend and it is such a good BCD. He is a new diver and it has already helped his buoyancy tremendously. It folds up so small - perfect for travel, yet is durable and great for cold PNW waters. It also looks really cool (which is not a good reason to buy scuba gear, but it's certainly a plus.) It came with a CD which walks you through the set up and features. Really nice touch. I'm definitely going to be getting one for myself now.

Been diving with this luxury item 4 times now and love it! The fit and feel is outstanding. The materials are awesome. It just becomes part of you under water. Excellent buoyancy control with the trickle inflator valve. Plenty of D-Rings and oh man I love the accessory attachments you can add for a knife and flashlight. It is a travel ready tech BC for sure! Taking it to the Dominican Republic in 2 weeks!

Ligero, resistente y seca rápido

Das Jacket tauche ich jetzt seit ca. 80 Tauchgängen im Meer als auch in Bergsee bei 4° Wassertemperatur. Ich habe mir das Jacket gekauft weil ich die Fummelei mit den Bleitaschen in die Jackethalterung satt hatte. Bis dann irgendein klacken oder sonst was signalsiert dass ein Knopf eingerastet ist und bei der Zugprobe dann doch wieder aus der Halterung oder im schlimmsten Fall einem Mittaucher am Boot auf die Zehen fällt. Das ist bei diesem System ausgeschlossen. Weiters liebe ich dass ich durch ziehen am Inflatorschlauch das Jacket dosiert in 2 Stufen entlüften kann. Ich brauche also nicht mehr den Inflatorschlauch über meinen Kopf halten um Luft abzulassen. Jetzt der ärgerlich negative Punkt weshalb ich nur 3 Sterne vegeben kann. Der Reißverschluss an den Bleitaschen ist äußerst minderwertig. Trotz sehr sorgfältigen Umgang meinerseits sind am Bogen wo der Reissverschluss eine 90° Kurve macht, schon Zähne bei beiden Taschen ausgebrochen.

Für mich das optimale Jacket. Perfekt sind die 2 Taschen an den Schultern für die Gewichte. Trocknet sehr schnell und super verpackt im mitgelieferten Rucksack.
