No It's 13 in MA250 viola mendini.

Q: Is the case a hard case or a soft case

It is a hard case with a zip pouch for books and a handle for carrying. I've taken it through the airport and stored in overhead luggage and alsi dropped the case with no issues. Very durable. It has a soft touch but very firm underneath.
