Vesture Navy Lava Buns

Fantastic product. Heat up for 6 minutes (3 minutes per side), slide into the protective sleeve (protects you from getting burned, among other things) and then have a nice warm seat when you get in your freezing car in the middle of winter. Cover with a pillow or towel, and it's till warm (enough) when you get back to the car 8 hours later. Can't say enough to recommend. HOWEVER, this is my second. First one I had for 5+ years and it just exploded one day (in the sense that the seam broke and the "goo" leaked out so I couldn't use it anymore. Glad to see they're still sold on the web as I bought one from Amazon the very same day mine died. Makes the early morning commute so much nicer. Plus, you can slip your gloves inside the sleeve while you're getting ready and Voila! you have toasty gloves as well.

Stays hot for hours! This has saved me many times during cold soccer and baseball games. Lay this in your lap and it really keeps you warm!

I love these cushions and have bought many over the years. They don't last forever, because the more you sit on them, the more the inner liner shrinks and starts leaking. They're inexpensive enough just to buy a new one. I put it in the microwave and then use it in an older car that does not have heated seats, so it's great in the winter time!

No USB plugs, no cords. This heated seat has a core you place in the microwave for 2 minutes to generate the heat. It stays hot, or at least fairly warm for 3 to 4 hours, enough time for most sports events. You can also put the core in the freezer overnight to have a "cold seat" for those hot summer sports events. I bought this to replace a 30-year-old similar product that was lost when it was left it in a restaurant. The core of the lava buns is similar to my old product; however, the seat does not have as much padding. This does not seem to make a significant difference. I was very pleased to find this as i get tired of plugging things in and waiting hours for them to recharge. Take a page from the past and leave the cord behind! Your warm tushy will thank you!

This cushion folds in half so it travels well to use on bleachers or in a car or plane seat. It is very comfortable and has the option to be used cold or heated. I have gifted it to others who have had sciatica or issues with sitting for any length of time, and they have all got relief with it.

I have had several of these over the last 12 years. The heat pak (the one you take out and heat in the microwave) doesn't last but a few years if heating in the microwave about once or twice a week. However, the outside cover lasts forever. I do think the price is a little high for only being able to use the heating pak for about 2 - 3 years.

We just started ‘ice rink viewing’ and after an hour it starts to get COLD! as you look on. We did the norm - sit on a blanket, towel or even newspaper. I purchase a Lava Buns as a gift for my wife. She loves it and won’t share! It does cool off in <1.5hrs if you are putting the pad on metal set (it is having to heat you and the set). I assume a little more insolation on the bottom would be good. To correct for this we just put it on a towel. At this point, our max ‘ice rink viewing’ has been 2.5hrs and with the Lava Buns on a towel it was still good warm. When we get home I use it to thaw my feet. We micro for 2 mins. on each side. We also have a metal rack in our oven/microwave and we place it on this. In error, the first ~20 time I headed pad and element at the same time (as stated on the pad not to do). I have yet to see an issue. I ordered another on today.

Love this lava buns! Definitely my best friend in cold weather and it’s easy to bring it anywhere!
