Q: What's a good glue to secure these onto plastic or metal? Super glue isn't working well enough.

I sometimes use E6000 glue. It's not a instant bond glue, but it's very strong. I recommend small tubes of the glue so you don't have to worry about it drying out in the tube. I also like to roughen up the back of the pin pads with some sandpaper for extra grip.

Q: Do these tacks leave holes in the fabric once they're removed? Tack pins I have used before have damaged the fabric.

I believe it depends on the fabric. I used a satin/polyester blend and it did leave holes in my material.
