Q: Any suggestions on why on my iphone 7 plus. the cord seems to fall out easily

Not sure, but maybe your charging port has been damaged or loosened. Result of using 3rd party cables that also may have a slightly dense plug/ connector. Try cleaning out your port with an anti static tool that can remove any debris from port.

Q: How is this different than a regular cord that you just unplug when your phone says 100 percent charged?

With this cord, if still plugged in- it will automatically stop charging once you reach 100%. Also if it’s still plugged in, it will automatically start recharging once battery becomes lower than 70%.
