This works well for storing cords that don't get moved around much. I know some reviewers want to use it for cords that get plugged and unplugged frequently, but it's not really made for that. On the other hand, for my Alexa and my digital picture frame (which sit next to each other), this is great. I got rid of the excess cord clutter on my counter, and since I rarely move those plugs, this very inexpensive holder is just the ticket!

It keeps the cord neatly stored. I was disappointed in the size. It is larger than I expected. I was able to put two cords in it.

The center piece can break out after too much use.

Suitable for very thin cables. The spool's feet are too short, so much of the interior space is wasted. If using with a lamp cord, shortens by only a foot or so.

This worked perfectly! Holds so many cords safely with plenty of space and venting. Would definitely buy again!

I'm probably madder at myself for not reading more closely and paying for a stupid plastic box. I was assuming it automatically rewound and retracted the long cables. So now winding and unwinding takes the extra step of opening and closing a plastic box that will likely weaken when exposed to extreme temperature. Lesson learned. Don't have time to return.
