Sturdy as always
As always with Rubbermaid products, you can expect a sturdy, well-made product. I bought 2 of these and I give them 4 1/2 stars, despite a few minor problems. Though it says 'leak resistant', one does leak a bit. Also, I don't love the way the lids fit. They have a 'stop', but it's not flush with the front of the pitcher, which is odd. However, these have a nice, large handhold, which is one of the things I wanted. I was dropping my other containers which didn't have a handhold. This handhold is large and comfy, easy to hold onto. Be aware that the pitchers are very tall. They barely fit on my bottom shelf in the fridge. I have to slightly lift the shelf above in order to get them in because the lip of the shelf blocks them. So check the height of your shelf against the height of the pitcher before you buy. I also don't love the spout cover. It flips up fine, but it stays popped up at an angle, so when the pitcher if half full or less and you have to really tilt the pitcher, the spout cover can get in the way. Would be better with a spout cover that swings to the side or flips all the way back. Some reviewers commented on a smell of bad taste. The label clearly says 'wash before using'. I washed them. No smell or bad taste. They have a wide, open top which makes them easy to clean. Pour in hot, soapy water, put the lid on and shake vigorously. All in all, I highly recommend these. I live in Texas and drink a lot of water, so keeping these gallon pitchers in my fridge is really nice.

Doesn’t leak or drip when pouring
Rubbermaid half gallon container. I like the size of this and the shape. I have a house full of people who like different things to drink, so I’ve bought several of these after initially trying just one. I can put different drinks into each container and they all fit nicely into the fridge and into the fridge door. They’re sturdy and have a gasket under the lid so they don’t leak. I make lemonade from a powdered mix and I can just shake the container instead of stirring, which is a bit difficult to do because of the shape of the container. The pour spout is flat which I didn’t understand at first, but I find I like it because with the cupped spouts there’s always a little liquid left in the spout when you tip it back up after pouring. With the flat spout it all rolls back into the container. And the flat spout doesn’t splash like the lids with just a round opening do. The white snap lid works great and snaps both open and closed. I have zero regrets about this purchase and will likely continue to buy them for my adult children and will recommend them to my friends. Rubbermaid has taken a legacy product and made it better. The only thing I wish was different is I’d like lines on the side to use as measurements instead of the bubble-shaped marker. I find those to be a little too ambiguous for my liking, but I admit I am possibly a bit too precise when I mix things.

Other Reviews Are Misleading
I almost didn't order these, based on some of the reviews, but decided to give them a chance. I am so glad I did. Here are my impressions after two months of daily use of two pitchers. 1. These pitchers are not flimsy. While they are lighter and appear thinner, they are quite rigid and do not flex whether empty or fully loaded. It seems this is a better design and a more efficient use of materials 2. The caps do align properly. One review I saw said the spout was offset about 45 degrees. That user must have really cranked them on or Rubbermaid made adjustments. When I tightened them finger-tight, they might have been 5 degrees off. I decided to just turn them where they were aligned and see if they leaked. They do not. In fact, when the pitcher is cold, the O-ring seals the pitchers quite snugly and feels secure. 3. The flat spout works fine. I originally thought this design would end up with liquid everywhere, but it doesn't. I was surprised to see they worked the same as older spout designs and allowed the pop-up lid to close in a way that better seals the pitcher (from food odors in the refrigerator). Overall, I am quite pleased with these pitchers. Having the handle built into the pitcher provides a more comfortable grip. And the shape makes for a much more efficient use of refrigerator space. Plus, I have yet to see any staining of the plastic from mixing powdered tea in these, unlike my older Rubbermaid pitchers.

Works Great & Lid Aligns Properly with Gasket
This pitcher seals nicely and doesn't leak at all. I did find that the lid will be misaligned if the gasket comes out, though. If your lid is 45 degrees off, look to see if the gray gasket is in place. Once but back into place, all aligns well.

Sturdy pitcher, but pouring hole out of line with handle
Sturdy pitcher allows you to handle a gallon of beverage quite easily. Unfortunately, the pouring hole does not line up with the handle. When tightening the lid, the pouring whole is about 1/2 inch to far to the right. This either means, you don't tighten the lid fully and it leaks while pouring. You hold the pitcher awkwardly to compensate for the offline pouring hole, in order to keep the pour straight. Or keep the handle straight and deal with the beverage pouring from the right side of the pitcher. Another problem, the pouring hole is too far back and doesn't allow for a perfect pour. I have purchased another pitcher with one of those coffee pot pouring spouts, which directs a steady and manageable flow to where you want it to go.

Pitcher perfect.
This plastic pitcher is great for mixing powdered or frozen juices. It closes tightly enough to shake, the pour spout is easy enough for a child to open, and the built-in handle allows for secure pouring. All around, a great product for a great price.

The first one had a hole in it straight out of the undamaged Amazon packaging. Fluke. Life is like that sometimes. The replacement arrived and I can't be more pleased. The large, upright container now holds homemade fruit drinks. I love that it can be shaken without a drop of mess, and the design takes up the perfect amount of space in the fridge, especially for a 1-gallon container. Great design! I will be buying another shortly. Why pay for concentrated drinks which are high in sugar content, and who knows what else, when you can blend a little fruit and mix it with water and sugar in this convenient container for much less!?

This is the perfect size jug for making frozen Minute Maid juice! I love the screw on cap with the flip up pour spout. And it has a nice handle on one side. It is lightweight which is great because the juice itself is quite heavy when full, so I didn’t want a receptacle that was going to add additional weight. There is just so much I appreciate about this juice jug, and absolutely nothing bad about it! It was such a good price when I purchased it too, only $7.29 CAD.
