Light weight and feels good in your hand. Clips used to hold sand paper could be better.over all very satisfied with Ryobi tools. Great value!

Just got it, it’s all there and worked fine for the first use. The sandpaper clamping system is good once you figure it out and the sand paper that came with it I will use as a template with full sheets and will make them just a 1/4 inch longer so they fit better.

Every worthwhile project deserves the privilege of purchasing a new tool to accomplish the task at hand. In this case, I have an old desk chair that needed repair and refinishing. The sander works great, the 1/4 sandpaper sheets are easy to clamp on to the base, and a "hole punch" tool is included with a few starter sheets of sandpaper. The punch allows one to use ordinary un-punched self-cut 1/4 -sheet sandpaper with the attached collection bag to suck up some of the dust.The tools is compact, well-balanced and easy to control. The on-off switch is a little stiff to use, but it's not a show-stopper. I would recommend that you regularly remove the steel-backed rubber base plate to keep the dust suction ports patent. You'll need a tiny star bit to remove the 8 screws holding it in place. It's a 5-minute task, tops.Recommended.

I felt good when in hand and sanding. Like I said above, easy loading new sheets.

Great sander. So glad I decided to get this tool that works with the other batteries that I have. Even sanding with 2000 grit sandpaper, it still doesn’t leave marks on the job it was bought for.

Got this Ryobi sander only because DeWalt didn't have a battery powered one. As others have noted, this sander did not come in the Ryobi packaging shown in the picture, it came in a plain white box which kinda makes me wonder why and what's wrong with it even though it's probably just fine. The 18V battery I already have which wqw charged and only used sparingly on a power drill that I don't use anymore was only able to power this sander for 10 seconds before it stopped. I thought the sander was defective but gave the battery a full night's charge and tried again and the sander seems to work fine, though I've only used it for about 2 minutes. Like others have said, this sander probably uses a lot of power resulting in my initial use to be less than optimal while others have said their use lasted about 10 minutes before the battery ran out, so I'm suspecting this sander requires and uses a lot of power. The on/off buttons were very stiff and hard to press down to operate. It would be nice if sanders like this had a handle, it would make it more ergonomic and easier to hold firmly.

Hi. The sandpaper you provided was a bit too short. It has to be a bit larger to fit. Otherwise Ryobi never fails.
