Super delicious and so far is my favorite jerky of all time. Love how chewy it is and the flavor is so tasty it gets my mouth watering just thinking about it.

Delicious. I've never had ostrich before, but this in my opinion taste almost better than beef jerky

For over 15 years, I had a strong curiosity about what ostrich tasted like. This stemmed from my realization of why duck is all duck meat ... and confirmation that, as much as I liked duck, goose was even better. What was a bird even bigger an more athletic than a duck? An ostrich! Hence the long-term quest to satisfy that curiosity. The great thing about this package of jerky is that it's all ostrich meat. Not the typical "mostly beef w/ some ostrich thrown in" beef sticks many places offer. These proved to be good, sizeable slices of ostrich meat ... which I can now saw is actually red meat and not like duck or goose. The package's contents were fresh and moist. I suspect the reason for the slices instead of chunks of meat is to help keep it tender and pleasant to chew; having learned that the heaviest used muscles of an animal lead to the toughest meat. So, going with the slices was a smart move. The quantity of the product is greater than it might seem; possibly also due to the use of slices. But, it's not that much less than a Monster sized Slim Jim beef stick ... which is considerably larger than regular beef sticks and even some bags of regular jerks ... and the ostrich tastes a whole lot better. I did really like the seasoning ... though I would have liked to have tried a more natural flavor. Though, having found how neutral gator meat is and that it needs seasoning to taste like anything, I realize this may be a case where the seasoning used is the best way to present dried ostrich meat. In this case, I just don't have the "standard" to compare it against to know. I would consider this more of a "cool treat to reward myself" than a standard snack option. But, I was pleased with what I did get and look forward to when more becomes available.

Good taste but for $15 you only get maybe two and 1/4 pieces. It’s a little ridiculous to pay that much for 2 pieces of jerky.

A little more gamey then some may like, but hey I got to eat ostrich without having to go to Australia.

My hubby has alpha gal syndrome (stupid ticks!). This was a great alternative for him.

Well, it is the softest kind of jerky I have ever had, which makes it good for me. For those who like tough jerky, it is not the best recommendation. Taste is definitely interesting.
